Getting paid
Payments run on Stripe. The money splits at the moment someone books, and your share goes to your own Stripe account. No invoices, no chasing and no monthly fee.
How it works
- Connect your bank on Stripe: You add your bank details on Stripe's own verified page. We never see them.
- Someone books: They pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The payment is split at checkout.
- You get paid: Your share waits safely in your own Stripe account, and goes to your bank two days after the event.
What you get
- 0% commission: On every ticket sold before the last-minute window: 48 hours before your event on Box Office, 72 hours on Spare Spots. Tickets sold in the window, when we push your event on the Yala Club map, are 10%. No monthly fee and no setup fee.
- You set the price: Show your usual price next to the Yala Club price so people can see the saving.
- Sales reports: Download a PDF or CSV of your sales for your accountant whenever you need it.
Example: one £18 ticket
- Your ticket price: £18.00
- Yala Club commission: £0.00
- Stripe card fee (1.5% + 20p on UK cards): −£0.47
- You get: £17.53
Customers also pay a small booking fee on top of the ticket price. That doesn't come out of your share.
Questions
When do I get paid?
Your share lands in your own Stripe account as each ticket sells. Two days after the event it's paid out to your bank, and banks usually show it within a day or two. Holding it until just after the event means customers can be refunded if something goes wrong.
Do I need a Stripe account already?
No. We help you set one up when you join. It takes a few minutes.
Is it safe?
Card details go to Stripe, never to us. Stripe handles payments for millions of businesses.
